Amy’s Ice Creams is finally rolling into Hutto, and it is not showing up empty-handed. The Austin-born ice cream favorite will open its first Hutto shop next Wednesday with a grand-opening scoop session that includes a few hours of free ice cream.
The shop is setting up in a suite at the Alliance Boulevard retail center and plans to bring its signature playful, performance-style scooping to Hutto. Expect a compact counter focused on handcrafted scoops and seasonal flavors rather than a sprawling dine-in setup.
According to Community Impact, the new location at 150 Alliance Blvd., Ste. 220, will open next Wednesday and serve flavors like Mexican vanilla, Belgian chocolate, Zilker mint chip and coffee. The shop will also stock pre-made ice cream cakes and chocolate-covered strawberries. To sweeten the debut, Amy’s will hand out free ice cream from 3 to 7 p.m. during the grand opening, per the outlet.
In a news release covered by Community Impact, Erin Stanley, Amy’s director of production and a Hutto resident, said, “We’re beyond excited to join the Hutto community.” Stanley added that the shop will help the company share its ice cream and “community moments” with local neighbors, according to the release.
Menu Highlights
Amy’s says its menu centers on its signature Mexican vanilla plus a rotating lineup of specialty flavors. The company notes it produces more than 350 varieties overall, so Hutto can expect some regular shakeups on the board. The brand’s website also highlights edible gifts like chocolate-covered strawberries, Baked by Amy’s ice cream cakes, and a range of pints and grab-and-go treats. For full flavor lists and cake ordering, Amy's Ice Creams has the details.
Why Hutto?
When the Hutto location was first announced last fall, local coverage framed the move as a nod to the city’s growing retail scene and the steady stream of Austinites migrating north. That earlier reporting also noted the Hutto shop will be Amy’s roughly 19th Texas location and confirmed the address at 150 Alliance Blvd., Suite 220, according to MySA.
What To Know For Opening Day
The free-scoop window runs from 3 to 7 p.m., and anyone heading over should plan for lines during that stretch. For hours, ordering options, and the full store locator, check Amy's Ice Creams before you go.
