A mountain bike mishap on Inverness Ridge Trail resulted in a high-flying rescue operation. The CHP H-30 helicopter team, working in collaboration with Marin County Fire and California State Parks, swiftly responded to calls for assistance after a bicyclist suffered injuries along the trail.
The operation swung into full gear when the CHP team picked up a Helicopter Rescue Technician (HRT) from Throckmorton Fire Station to quickly provide aid. Despite the rugged terrain that characterizes Inverness Ridge Trail, the HRT paramedic was adeptly hoisted down to reach the injured rider.
In a statement posted on Facebook, the CHP Golden Gate Division Air Operations recounted, "The patient was treated and hoisted from the scene to an awaiting ground ambulance where he was treated for his injuries."
