A tragic incident unfolded in St. Clair County on a recent snowy evening. A 37-year-old man from Kenockee Township has been reported dead following a rollover crash that occurred last Saturday, according to multiple sources.
Reports by CBS News state the crash happened near the intersection of Kilgore and Imlay City roads around 7:24 p.m. The victim was driving a Chevrolet Silverado northbound when his truck swerved off the road, entered a ditch, and overturned, causing him to be ejected from the vehicle. Driving during snowy and icy conditions is treacherous, with the slick roads having been cited as a significant factor in the incident.
When the St. Clair County Sheriff's deputies arrived at the scene, they found CPR being performed on the victim, as per MLive. Despite the immediate attention and efforts by the responders, which included members from the Kenockee Township Fire Department and Tri-Hospital EMS, the man unfortunately succumbed to his injuries after being transported to an area hospital.
According to The Times Herald, the investigation into the crash remains ongoing. However, taking drugs or alcohol into account, which normally can influence such devastating outcomes, has not been considered as a factor. At this time, further details regarding the identity of the victim or any potential additional causes for the crash have not been made available.
