It's not every day that our four-legged law enforcement companions trade in their tactical harnesses for something a little more, let's say, festive. But when they do, it's certainly a sight worth sharing. The Kent Police Department recently took to Facebook to celebrate National Dress Up Your Pet Day, inviting pet owners to share photos of their decked-out fur babies.
The Kent Police Department writes, "Our K9s are expected to be in their uniform harness while on duty, but there are a few exceptions. Special events mean special outfits. Now your K9s want to see what the other pets are styling."
The department's post has gathered a bunch of likes and comments, with citizens appreciating the lighter side of the police force. "Share a photo of your fav pet dress up and we'll make sure they see it," says the department, encouraging engagement from the community.
