
A hit-and-run on Kuykendahl Road in north Harris County left a man on a motorized bicycle dead Friday, after a driver slammed into him and took off, authorities said. Deputies and medics rushed to the scene, but the rider was pronounced dead there.
Investigators told ABC13 that the man was riding north in the 15200 block of Kuykendahl Road near Cypress Creek Parkway when he was hit from behind. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office said the motorized bicycle did not have any lights, the driver did not stop to render aid, and paramedics found the rider with no signs of life when they arrived.
What investigators have released
The Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division is investigating, but so far, authorities have not released a description of the victim or the vehicle that hit him. Deputies are canvassing the area and pulling surveillance and dash-cam footage in an effort to reconstruct the crash and track down the driver who left the scene.
