Lake Havasu City has taken a noteworthy step, reaching out to its community with a citizen survey seeking feedback on various aspects of life and governance in the area. Approximately 3,000 selected households began receiving mail invitations the week of January 12, signaling the city's commitment to incorporating resident input into its operations and planning.

The survey delves into quality of life, local policies, demographic data, and the residents' levels of satisfaction with City services. According to a press release from Lake Havasu City's official website, City Manager Jess Knudson emphasized the importance of this initiative: "This survey is a wonderful way for our residents to provide the feedback we need to properly evaluate City services and projects,” he said. "Our residents determine what we do as a City.  The input we receive guides our priorities, measures our progress, and ensures we are making informed decisions that reflect our community’s needs."

The city has partnered with National Research Center, Inc. to execute the survey process. The decision to solicit such comprehensive viewpoints is indicative of a more hands-on approach to local governance, one where the subjective experiences and needs of individuals are collated to shape policy and service delivery.

Residents who want more information about the survey or its purpose are encouraged to contact Lake Havasu City. Questions can be directed to Anthony Kozlowski, Assistant City Manager, at (928) 854-4278. Officials say the survey results could help shape future city plans, highlighting the importance of community feedback in local decision-making, according to the Lake Havasu City.
