Yesterday, Lake Minneola High School was placed under lockdown following a bomb threat reported to law enforcement. According to ClickOrlando, the tip led to immediate action by Lake County Schools, with the district restricting access to the campus and notifying parents shortly before 10 a.m. At this stage, the details available to the public remain limited as the situation continues to develop.
Reinforcements from the Lake County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to the scene to thoroughly canvass the area. As the school grounds turned into an actively scrutinized zone, anxious families awaited further news. "Deputies are canvassing the area," the sheriff's office stated in remarks made to FOX 35 Orlando. While the officials have not shared more specifics, the investigation is notably active and ongoing.
This is not the first incident of its kind to shake the local school district. Just last week, similar threats put Lake Brantley High School and Forest City Elementary in Seminole County under a Code Red. Those threats, however, were later dismissed by police as hoaxes.
