The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has picked its "Good Ticket" honoree for January, spotlighting the charitable actions of Officer Deb Rinkovsky. A recent social media post by LVMPD narrates how Rinkovsky demonstrated exceptional compassion during her patrol in the community.
In late 2025, while on duty near Charleston and Decatur, Officer Rinkovsky encountered someone struggling in the rain. The individual, in a motorized wheelchair, was being continuously splashed by passing cars. Rinkovsky, moved by the scene, did not hesitate to stop and assist. She gave up her rain poncho to the person, ensuring they were sheltered from the storm, even though it meant she would surely get soaked herself. The LVMPD shared that such moments "may not always be seen, but they happen every day," emphasizing that Rinkovsky's deed is reflective of the department's commitment to service.
Resorts World Las Vegas, working with the LVMPD Foundation, honored Officer Rinkovsky with a staycation package that includes a resort stay, food and beverage credit, and tickets to a headline show. Rinkovsky said she hopes the experience will inspire others to pay it forward. The LVMPD said her compassion and humanity reflect the values that help strengthen the community.
