Las Vegas Metro Police are asking the public for help in a hit-and-run case. On Monday at about 5:12 p.m., a motorcycle rider was seriously injured at East Lake Mead Boulevard and Marion Drive. Police are looking for anyone with information about the incident, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
A motorcycle rider was taken to a trauma hospital following a crash in the East Lake Mead area, while the other vehicle’s driver was taken into custody at the scene. Westbound lanes were closed, causing significant traffic delays, as authorities investigated whether impairment played a role, as reported by Hoodline.
The area has a history of severe motorcycle accidents, prompting increased law enforcement patrols and safety campaigns to reduce speed-related collisions. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is asking the public for tips, dashcam footage, or other information through their Collision Investigation Section, Crime Stoppers, or the “P3” app, with possible cash rewards for leads.
