A late-night robbery attempt in west Las Vegas ended with a woman shot in the back Monday, and Metro detectives are now racing to track down two suspects who sped off into the night. The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital with what police described as non-life-threatening injuries.
The shooting was reported around 10:11 p.m. in the 5700 block of West Charleston Boulevard near Jones Boulevard. Officers arrived to find a woman suffering from a gunshot wound to her back. Investigators say two suspects took off in a dark-colored sedan and have not been found. Detectives are treating the case as robbery-related, according to FOX5 Las Vegas.
How to Help
Metro is asking anyone who might have seen something, caught video, or heard details about the incident to come forward. Tips can be directed to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's Commercial Robbery Section at 702-828-3591, or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. Investigators stress that even small details could help them identify the vehicle and the suspects.
West Charleston Corridor
The West Charleston corridor has seen its share of violence in recent years. In March 2025, a man was killed in a parking lot in the 6000 block of West Charleston Boulevard, just up the road from Monday night’s scene, as reported by the Las Vegas Review-Journal. That close proximity is one reason neighbors in the west valley tend to sit up and pay attention when word of another shooting breaks.
What’s Next
Metro detectives say the investigation remains active and no arrests had been announced at the time of reporting. Officers continue canvassing the surrounding area for witnesses and surveillance footage, and police say more information will be released as it becomes available. Initial details on the case and the suspect search were shared with the public through FOX5 Las Vegas.
