Residents on Summit Run should prepare for some disruption as the City of Lewisville embarks on its alley repair project, which could temporarily cut off access to a couple of driveways. According to a social media announcement by Lewisville City Hall, the upcoming work will impact those living at 801 and 797 Summit Run, leaving their driveways inaccessible during the construction. The work began yesterday, with a finishing line aimed for the following Wednesday, January 28, contingent, of course, on the whims of the weather.
The alley repairs, contracted out to HD Way, Inc., are a necessary inconvenience, as they often say, but the City has made clear efforts to minimize the hassle for the residents. Access to the alley will be maintained for other residents through the entrance at Summit Run and Summit Pointe. The affected driveways will be 801 and 797 Summit Run. These driveways will be inaccessible for the duration of the work being performed. Other residents will still have access to the alley via the entrance at Summit Run and Summit Pointe, the City's announcement detailed, in what could be seen as a small comfort to those not directly impacted by the closures.
