The development, announced by Loews Hotels & Co, involves razing the existing Sheraton Arlington Hotel with a ceremonious demolition planned for early June, marking the commencement of the construction phase.
The Americana by Loews will join the ranks as the third Loews establishment in Arlington, and the brand's 28th property overall. It's designed as a nod to the heritage of American hospitality, while setting the stage for modern services and design. The highlight of these spaces includes a 17,337 square-foot Grand Ballroom, a unique 10,000 square-foot Event Barn, and multiple breakout rooms, adding up to 10,644 square feet. Furthermore, the planned exterior spaces encompass a sprawling Event Lawn and various terraces, intended to cater to a panorama of event types and preferences.
According to the details provided by the City of Arlington's announcement, the hotel's campus, which includes the Live! by Loews - Arlington and Loews Arlington Hotel, will cumulatively offer 1,695 guest rooms and more than 374,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space.
