
Madison Heights Police are actively seeking a suspect connected to an armed robbery that occurred at a 7-Eleven store in Oakland County. The robbery took place shortly before 7 p.m. on Tuesday, as reported by ClickOnDetroit. The suspect is described as a Black man, seen wearing dark colored shoes, pants, and a blue, white, and black jacket.
The incident unfolded at the convenience store located on the 31700 block of John R Road, near Whitcomb Avenue. Upon entering the store, the suspect purportedly acted as if to casually shop before he approached the register to then reveal a gun and demand money from the clerk. "He ran east down Whitcomb Avenue," according to police. Despite the violence of the situation, no injuries have been reported. Madison Heights Police are continuing to investigate.
A video of the robbery event has been reviewed by investigators. It reveals the man walking into the store, gathering items, and then proceeding to the register, where he reveals a firearm and coerces the store clerk to hand over cash. CBS Detroit reported that police have released a photo of the suspect following the incident, eliciting help from the public to identify the perpetrator.

This plea was reported by Audacy, which also provided photos of the suspect to assist in his apprehension.
