In a recent drug bust by local law enforcement, a man was taken into custody on charges of possessing a controlled substance. Constable Mark Herman's Office reported that on Tuesday, a deputy performed a traffic stop on Spring Stuebner Road in the 4800 block, leading to the arrest of a suspect for drug possession.
The driver, identified as Roshan Maharaj, was found with approximately 2.1 grams of cocaine during the traffic stop, which quickly shifted from routine to consequential. According to a social media update by the Constable's Office, the deputy conducted further investigation after identifying Maharaj, which unearthed the narcotics.
"Roshan Maharaj was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance. His bond was set at $5,000.00 out of 182nd District Court," Constable Mark Herman delineated through the announcement. The charge places Maharaj at the center of a judicial process that will determine his guilt or innocence.
