Montgomery County authorities are currently delving into the specifics of a homicide after a man's dead body was discovered last night in a parking lot in Clarksburg. As per DC News Now, police were called to the scene at the 23600 block of Rolling Fork Way following reports that a body had been found.
According to The MoCo Show, Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services were dispatched shortly before 7:21 pm to the location, where they found the adult male. Despite efforts to quickly address the situation, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The Major Crimes Division, Homicide Section of the Montgomery County Department of Police quickly then took over to begin their investigation.
While the identity of the victim is yet to be formally disclosed, pending notification of next of kin, an autopsy is expected to be undertaken by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. This will aim to uncover the exact cause and manner of death. As of now, no suspects are in custody and no further suspect information has been released to the public.
