
A man died in a fire on Detroit’s east side, city officials reported. The fire happened on the 10200 block of Lanark Street, and Detroit Fire Department crews responded shortly before noon on Sunday. Firefighters found the man on the first floor while putting out the fire, as reported by CBS News Detroit.
Emergency personnel tried to save a man from a fire, carrying him outside, where medical officials declared him dead. According to WXYZ, he was taken to Henry Ford St. John Hospital. The cause of the fire is under investigation. No firefighters were injured.
