A shooting incident in West Baltimore's Penn-North neighborhood left one man injured, according to local authorities. The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) reported that last night, around 8:14 p.m., officers were dispatched following a ShotSpotter alert near Francis and Retreat Streets. Shortly after, a call for a shooting was received from the 1500 block of Retreat Street. Officers found a 20-year-old male victim with gunshot wounds, as they were detailed by Baltimore Witness.
Upon arrival at the scene, the victim was promptly taken to an area hospital, where he is currently in stable condition. Western District detectives arrived to take control of the investigation, a common protocol in cases such as this.
