Amidst a frosty backdrop, the essential efforts of Mentor-on-the-Lake Service Department have drawn recognition from local police. The Mentor-on-the-Lake Police Department, in a statement on social media, acknowledged the service department's contributions during recent severe weather. "Our guys have been working around the clock, with minimal staffing, to keep our roadways safe and passable for residents and emergency services," the police detailed.
The praise comes as the team continually braved the cold, a relentless adversary, ensuring that emergency services could navigate through the storm-swollen streets. The department's commitment, characterized by long hours and undeniable hard work, as per the Mentor-on-the-Lake Police Department’s social media post, remains vital for the community's mobility and safety.
Alongside their thanks, the police department also reminded residents of an ongoing parking ban. This measure, critical for service operations, seeks to keep streets free of parked vehicles, thereby not impeding snow removal efforts. They appealed to the public, "Please remove vehicles from the roadways so crews can continue their work without delay," according to the Mentor-on-the-Lake Police Department.
