The Metropolitan Police Department is on the lookout for a suspect involved in a recent business burglary in Southeast, reaching out to the public for help. The crime, which took place late last month, saw a perpetrator breaking and entering into an establishment on the 3900 block of Martin Luther King Jr Avenue, escaping with cash and various other items.
It was around the witching hour on the last Sunday of December when the still-unidentified suspect forced their way into a local business and successfully purloined what wasn't theirs—and despite the time of day, police believe there may be witnesses to the brazen act or folks savvy to the suspect's identity. According to a report from the Metropolitan Police Department, the incident occurred on December 28, 2025, at approximately 12:05 a.m.
The MPD is asking the public to share any information related to the burglary and not take matters into their own hands. Police are offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest and indictment, and while no suspect description has been released, authorities urge anyone with relevant knowledge to come forward to help the affected business and the community.
