Miami gears up to celebrate its annual cultural fête, the Three Kings Parade on January 11, where locals and visitors will throng Calle Ocho in Little Havana, witnessing the blend of tradition and multicultural vibrancy. Gates open at 10:00 a.m. leading up to the parade start at noon, and those interested in joining are advised to arrive early to avoid the rush, for an event that draws the heart of Miami together for a commemoration of Día de los Reyes Magos.
Partnering with Kiwanis of Little Havana, the event posts a lineup of live music and entertainment, also including a host of family-friendly offerings, food vendors peppering the vicinity, as well as community engagements designed to mirror Miami's diverse tapestry, Enrique Santos and Dayanara Torres will be hosting, and the Mayor Eileen Higgins shared that “The Three Kings Parade brings our community together, connecting families, neighbors, and generations through shared tradition and culture,” as mentioned on the City of Miami website.
This year, Migbelis Castellanos will serve as Grand Marshal, steering the celebrations, as a cavalcade of musicians such as Motiff, Jonathan Moly, and others including Aymée Nuviola charm the parade with their performances, while Camila Cabello, Miami's own, will be specially honored and presented with the Key to the City of Miami.
Highlighting the significance of Calle Ocho and the connectivity it inspires Commissioner Ralph Rosado told the City of Miami, “Calle Ocho has always been the heart of our community, and the Three Kings Parade is one of the most meaningful ways we celebrate that history,” with the recognition of cultural roots and the bridging of generations in full display, Commissioner Rolando Escalona echoed the sentiment, expressing that the parade is about "joy, unity, and honoring our cultural roots".
