The Milwaukee Police Department has warned residents about the risks of slipping on ice and snow. According to the CDC, an estimated 1 million Americans are injured annually in such incidents, with around 17,000 resulting in death.
According to the Milwaukee Police Department's Facebook post, they recommends salting walkways and stairs, wearing footwear with proper traction, and using handrails when available. Additional safety guidance is available on the Milwaukee Police Department’s website.
