Following the death of Renée Nicole Good during a confrontation with an ICE agent, Schack spoke out. In her role as both mayor and a licensed attorney, Schack has firmly committed to upholding the Constitution. Her public response underscores a dedication to maintaining civil liberties, including due process and the right to assemble peacefully. Schack was quoted as saying, "We will continue to uphold the fundamental rights guaranteed to every person within our jurisdiction," as stated by the City of Minnetonka.
