Relief washed over the community as the Dallas Police Department confirmed the safe location of 18-year-old Juan Garcia, who had been reported critically missing just a day prior. Before his whereabouts became known, Garcia had last been seen in the early morning hours on January 7th, near the 3200 block of East Perryton Drive, according to the Dallas Police Department.
The initial plea for public assistance described Garcia as a young man six feet tall, with a lean build at 100 pounds, black hair, and brown eyes, garbed in a red shirt, khaki pants, and a dark-colored zip-up hoodie he was also carrying a clear backpack, a type of detail, they hoped would make it easier to spot him among the bustling cityscape. Despite the urgency of the situation, details on how or where Garcia was found have not been released.
When Garcia's disappearance first became public knowledge, the Dallas Police Department issued a call to action for anyone with information to step forward, providing contact numbers and a specific case reference to expedite the search process. They urged immediate contact with 9-1-1 or a call to 214-671-4268 for potential leads, mentioning case number 003020-2026 to ensure the swift relay of relevant information.
