
In a brief yet welcome update shared by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, the community breathes a collective sigh of relief with the news that the missing 54-year-old Charles Tims has been located and is safe. The post, made on their official Facebook page, expressed gratitude towards all who contributed to spreading the word and assisting in the search for Mr. Tims. "Great news! Mr. Tims has been found and is safe. Thanks to everyone who helped us find him and helped spread the word!" read the post from the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
Prior to his safe return, Tims had last been seen leaving his home on Rolling Tree Street near Old Middleburg Road South. He was reported missing after last being spotted at around 7:30 a.m. yesterday. With Tims suffering from an unknown cognitive condition, the circumstances had spurred heightened concern for his wellbeing from the authorities. Described as 6'1" and weighing approximately 220 pounds with brown eyes and salt-and-pepper hair, he was last noted wearing a plaid shirt coupled with an olive green vest, black pants, and shoes. Searching for a man in this state, the community was alerted to the urgency of the matter due to the cognitive condition he suffers from.
Citizens were urgently asked to keep an eye out for Mr. Tims and were urged to contact the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office at 904.630.0500 with any information concerning his whereabouts. The law enforcement's appeal for public assistance in spreading the word played a pivotal role in Mr. Tims' safe recovery.
