A sense of relief has cascaded through the community as the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office delivered welcome news via social media. Jamie Cornleious Kinsey, the 26-year-old previously reported missing, has been located and confirmed to be safe. The update, succinct and shedding the weight of worry, was broadcasted in the early hours at 2:00 A.M. on January 13. The Sheriff's Office post simply stated, "***UPDATE - Missing Man Located*** As of 2:00 A.M. on January 13, 2026, Jamie Cornleious Kinsey was located and is safe."
Deputies issued a Purple Alert after Kinsey, a 5'8", 220-pound white male, went missing from the 4th Street Group Home in unincorporated Largo on January 11. Purple Alerts help locate missing persons with physical or mental health disabilities who may be at risk.
