Last Wednesday, a residential fire broke out in Salida. Firefighters from the department were dispatched to the 4000 block of Grosvenor Lane following reports of a fire on the premises, as reported by the Modesto Fire Department.
Upon arrival, Engine 12 from the Salida station noted smoke emanating from the roof. An immediate interior assault was launched to combat what turned out to be an attic fire. The aggressive strategy paid off, confining the fire to the attic and kitchen areas, and thereby preventing the fire from ravaging the rest of the home. according to the Modesto Fire Department's Facebook post.
A suite of firefighting resources were mobilized to the scene, including multiple engine and truck companies, battalion chiefs, and Medic 1. Beyond extinguishing the flames, the fire crews also executed salvage operations to protect the residence and the homeowner's possessions.

Serving multiple communities, the Modesto Fire Department reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding not only the City of Modesto but also Ceres, Oakdale, Knights Ferry, Valley Home, Riverbank, Empire, Waterford, La Grange, Turlock, and Salida.
