Just after 6:30 a.m. this morning, firefighters from the Modesto Fire Department and Stanislaus Consolidated Fire District responded to a mobile home fire at Lazy Wheels Mobile Home Park. Modesto Engine 15, responding from less than 0.75 miles away in downtown Ceres, arrived to find fire coming through the roof of a mobile home in a closed park, according to the Modesto Fire Department's Facebook post.
Firefighters quickly worked to extinguish the fire before it could spread to nearby mobile homes and vehicles. Their rapid response prevented further damage within the park, as reported by the Modesto Fire Department.
No injuries were reported to firefighters or members of the public. The cause of the fire has not been released.
