The Modesto Police Department has issued an urgent call for assistance in locating Gilberto Ortega, an at-risk adult male who was last seen earlier this week. According to a social media post by the department, Ortega disappeared on foot from the 200 block of El Paso Avenue around 9:30 am.
He was last spotted wearing a gray sweatshirt, a distinctive combination of brown pants, and a black and white beanie. This information was made public in an attempt to leverage the community's help in finding Ortega. The Modesto Police urge anyone who might come into contact with him or have any information regarding his whereabouts to call 911 immediately.
Those with information can stay anonymous if they prefer, but are highly encouraged to come forward, as even the smallest detail could be pivotal in bringing Ortega back to safety.
