
Park City is set to witness the official induction of Molly Miller into its Council tomorrow at City Hall. Miller, who steps in to fill the vacancy left by newly elected Mayor Ryan Dickey, will serve the community through January 2028, in an appointment voted on last week, as reported by Park City.
The same council meeting looks to push forward the Bonanza 5-Acre Site redevelopment plan, looking to authorize an amendment with Brinshore Development, LLC. The aim here is to decidedly move into good faith negotiations on development agreements, an effort that aligns with Park City's steady approach toward growth and improvement.
Transportation is also on the docket, with the council poised to approve a resolution in support of the Re-create 248 Transit Study. "Acknowledging the findings of the Re-create 248 Transit Study and formally adopting the dedicated, side-running exclusive bus lanes alternative as the Locally Preferred Alternative (LPA)," as stated by Park City.
In light of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Park City had closed several municipal offices and facilities, but the PC MARC remained open for regular hours. This comes during the week Park City braces itself once more to host the Sundance Film Festival, beginning Thursday. With the festival set to relocate next year, the city has launched a comprehensive community guide to help residents navigate the upcoming traffic and parking changes with as little inconvenience as possible.
