Police were called to the scene around 8:40 a.m., and the victim was taken to a hospital for treatment. On Jan. 15, WISN reported officers responding to early-morning gunfire at 35th and Walnut, and later noted that the medical examiner ruled the death in that case a suicide. In a separate incident on Jan. 13, CBS58 reported a fatal shooting near 38th and North.
