
A tragic accident took place on Sunday evening in Lake County that claimed the life of a motorcyclist, as per the Florida Highway Patrol. In the incident, which occurred around 5:10 p.m. at the intersection of County Road 455 and Woodlands Drive, the 39-year-old Howey-in-the-Hills man lost control of his Suzuki GSX-R600 motorcycle.
The man's motorcycle reportedly failed to negotiate a curve, causing him to run off the roadway, subsequently ejecting him from the vehicle, according to a crash report mentioned by ClickOrlando. He was pronounced dead at the scene. This accident is now part of an ongoing investigation to unearth further details regarding the cause of the crash.
Another account of the incident, published by Leesburg-News, confirms that the crash took place north of the Florida Turnpike near Clermont. The motorcyclist, at the time, was traveling north on C.R. 455 when he tragically failed to handle a curve and was thrown off his motorcycle, a 2007 Suzuki GSX-R600.
The motorcyclist's identity has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
