Early Thursday morning, a three-vehicle collision resulted in one driver's injury and prompted a response from Kansasville Fire & Rescue, alongside deputies from the Kenosha County Sheriff's Office. According to a social media post by the Kansasville Fire and Rescue Department, the accident occurred before 7:00 a.m. on STH 142/Burlington Road in the Town of Brighton.

The incident had multiple KFRD units arrive promptly to discover all involved vehicles upright and scattered along the north side of the road. One driver was transported by Paris ambulance from the scene, while others were assessed and opted to decline further medical attention. Traffic had to be temporarily rerouted, with westbound traffic halted at 224th Avenue and eastbound at 240th Avenue, to more safely allow emergency crews to manage the situation.

The Kenosha County Sheriff's Office took over the investigation of the crash's cause and oversaw the clearance and reopening of the roadway by approximately 8:00 a.m. In the aftermath of the accident, the roadway was cleared of debris, and the area was made safe for travel once again.

This serves as a stern prompt for those navigating potentially treacherous roads in similar conditions to approach with appropriate caution and heedfulness.
