New Albany's latest development, the New Albany Fieldhouse and Community Center, is steadily forging ahead toward its big reveal. In a recent update from the New Albany, Ohio Government social media post, New Albany Parks and Recreation shared that the complex's structural steelwork is all in place as of early December. That roof over the track and basketball courts? Almost done. And now, the siding is going up.
Attention shifts to the turf fieldhouse, with plans to have it fully enclosed within the next couple of months. Meanwhile, inside the community center, the mezzanine and roof decking are wrapping up. A mix of concrete work and wall-framing are on the horizon. Plus, the parking lot's getting its curbs, and the trees they're going in. The project is ticking along as scheduled, with the finish line set for the end of the year.
As substantial as this progress might seem, it's about more than just steel and siding; it's about laying the foundation for community engagement and active lifestyles. The New Albany Fieldhouse and Community Center isn't merely a building, it's a future hub for recreation, sports, and social gathering. A place that New Albany's residents will soon be able to claim as a centerpiece for their city.
