The Department of Public Works is now accepting Christmas tree pickup requests through January 31. Before placing your tree out, make sure all decorations, lights, and wires are removed, and that the tree is natural and free of bags or wrapping, according to the City of New Berlin's Facebook post.
To request Department of Public Works pickup, visit www.newberlinwi.gov and click “Report a Concern” or call 262-780-4609. Requests must be received by January 31, as per the City of New Berlin.
If you miss the Department of Public Works deadline, you can still recycle your tree. Drop it off at the Recycling Center on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., or schedule a special pickup with John’s Disposal at 262-473-4700.
