Chipotle Mexican Grill has officially landed in Schertz, serving up burritos and bowls at a brand-new spot in the fast-growing Schertz Station retail corridor. The restaurant, which opened Monday at 5498 Cibolo Valley Drive, includes a drive-thru pick-up lane built specifically for digital orders.
According to Community Impact, the Schertz store debuted at the start of the week, listing the new address and highlighting its dedicated drive-thru pick-up lane for online and app orders. The opening comes on the heels of Chipotle's national High Protein Menu rollout in December, which added a 4-ounce High Protein Cup and other protein-forward items, according to Chipotle.
Where It Sits In Schertz Station
The Schertz restaurant anchors a visible corner of Schertz Station at the intersection of I-35 and Cibolo Valley Drive. The 72-acre mixed-use development has been steadily filling out with national tenants as it builds out a regional retail hub, MySA reports.
State project filings show the Chipotle tenant build-out started in June 2025, with inspections marked complete in October, according to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
Hours, Ordering And What To Expect
Chipotle's store page lists the Schertz location at 5498 Cibolo Valley Drive with daily hours from 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m. Guests can order in person, through the Chipotle app or online, with options for pickup or delivery. Digital orders can be routed to the drive-thru pick-up lane, a setup aimed at moving commuters and busy locals through the line more quickly.
What This Means For Local Diners
The restaurant marks Chipotle's first location in Schertz, giving residents another quick-service option along the I-35 corridor, as reported by Community Impact. The arrival also adds to Schertz Station's growing list of national chains and highlights the corridor's continued retail build-out into a busy commuter and shopping destination, MySA reports.
