On Sunday, morning rain tapers off to a slight chance of showers, with mostly sunny skies developing, highs in the mid-40s, and west winds gusting up to 29 mph in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx, and Staten Island. Residents should expect cooler but calmer conditions, with clouds gradually clearing as the day progresses.
According to the National Weather Service, westerly gale-force winds are possible Sunday night into Monday morning, mainly over ocean waters. No warnings are in effect, and spotter activation is not expected at this time.
