According to the NYPD Crimestoppers social media post, a 54-year-old man became involved in a verbal altercation with another person, an exchange that swiftly escalated when he was slapped and then attacked by the individual's dog.
The victim suffered several lacerations to his left hand after the dog, which was unleashed and urged to attack by its owner, bit him. Authorities report that this occurred around 5:20 P.M. in the 13th Precinct/Transit District 4 area. After the attack, the dog's handler fled on foot with the canine, disappearing into the labyrinthine sprawl of the city.
