
The New York City Police Department is seeking public assistance in identifying a suspect linked to a series of grand larcenies affecting individuals in Manhattan. According to a social media post, the incidents took place within the 13th and Midtown South Precincts.
The first reported incident took place on December 31, 2025, when a 46-year-old man using crutches was robbed at an ATM on East 28th Street. An unknown individual took $100 from the victim’s hand. The following day, January 1, an 81-year-old woman using a wheelchair was similarly targeted at a location on 765 6th Avenue, where her wallet containing $175 was stolen.
The most recent incident occurred last Friday, when a 66-year-old man was using an ATM at 215 West 34th Street. An unknown individual approached and took $320 from the victim while he was at the ATM.
