On Wednesday, Oklahoma City Fire Department crews rescued a worker experiencing a medical emergency atop a billboard near NW 178th and Highway 74. The man was stranded 40–50 feet off the ground, and firefighters had to climb the billboard as ladders were inadequate, Fox25 reported.

While the firefighter's primary objective was to get the patient to safety, they were also able to provide immediate medical care. As firefighters worked to secure the patient, they managed to strap him into a gurney and lower him to the ground, as detailed further in the KOKH report. OKCFD confirmed that the patient remained alert throughout the ordeal and was subsequently transported to a local hospital for further evaluation and treatment. No injuries to the fire crew during the rescue were reported.

KOCO reported that OKCFD used a high-angle rescue system to reach a worker trapped on an elevated billboard. Firefighters secured the patient, provided medical care, and lowered him safely. The patient remained alert and was transported to a local hospital.

Here Oklahoma City reported the December 31 rescue, noting that the medical emergency was undisclosed.
