The light jacket weather would be accompanied by south-southwest winds between 5 to 14 mph, potentially gusting as high as 23 mph. According to the latest report from the National Weather Service forecast, the evening will remain clear with lows dipping to around 38 degrees.
The National Weather Service update shows a pattern of clear skies extending into the weekend. However, Friday will see temperatures slightly decrease to a high near 51, with clearer skies giving way to nighttime lows around 29 degrees. North winds are likely to pick up, hitting 13 to 17 mph and, gusts could reach up to 30 mph, a chill that could have the locals reaching for their scarves and gloves again.
Saturday's forecast introduces a slight uncertainty with a 20 percent chance of snow showers before noon. Nevertheless, it's back to partial sunshine later on, and highs only peaking around 43 degrees. If anyone's planning on venturing out on Saturday night, they'll want to bundle up as the lows are expected to plummet to around 18 degrees.
Looking ahead to the holiday, Martin Luther King Day appears to promise more amiable weather. Sunday will dawn with sunshine and a gradual climb to a pleasant 53 degrees.
