
A fatal two-vehicle crash on Monday morning near San Antonio International Airport left one man dead and three others critically injured after a minivan rear-ended an 18-wheeler carrying jet fuel on Wetmore Road just past Broadway Street. San Antonio police said the 58-year-old minivan driver was pronounced dead at the scene around 6 a.m., according to KSAT.
Three passengers from the minivan were taken to a local hospital with critical injuries, and their identities have not been released. Wetmore Road was closed in both directions for several hours following the crash but has since reopened as the investigation continues.
A major accident on Wetmore Road in San Antonio caused one death and sent two people to the hospital, the Fire Department reported. The road was closed between Northeast Loop 410 Frontage Road and Broadway Street, causing traffic delays.
