Local firefighters from Parker County Emergency Services District 1 (ESD 1) rushed to provide mutual aid to colleagues in Weatherford for a two-alarm fire that required aggressive action near Airport Rd on Monday. A social media post detailed the event, showing Engine 37 hard at work, prying open the ceiling so attack lines could adequately battle the blaze that had taken hold in the attic space above a garage. Rolling out in full force, the responding team from ESD 1 included Engine 34, Engine 37, Truck 35, Tanker 34, Battalion 102, and Marshal 101. These units, equipped with their specialized firefighting apparatus, were quickly deployed to assist Weatherford Fire/ESD 3 to effectively manage and eventually subdue the fire.
