
A recent incident occurred on Flamingo Road at Mojave Road where a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle while they were traversing outside of a marked crosswalk. The collision took place around 6:10 p.m. yesterday, causing a disruption in traffic as metro police closed down the road in both directions. According to News 3 LV, the person was transported to the hospital with injuries deemed non-life-threatening.
As reported by KTNV, the accident prompted alerts from RTC Southern Nevada shortly after 6:30 p.m., indicating the closures of all eastbound and westbound lanes on the busy thoroughfare. Authorities say the driver involved in the accident showed no signs of impairment as they continue to investigate the scene.
Flamingo Road near Pecos was temporarily shut down following a pedestrian accident, Metro reported. Police are investigating the circumstances that led to the incident. The victim is expected to recover.
