
Residents of Petaluma are on alert as local authorities seek assistance in identifying a prowling suspect linked to a break-in that occurred in the 800 block of Daniel Drive. The incident, which occurred on Wednesday, prompted a swift response from the Petaluma Police Department as officers arrived shortly after 10:53 AM in response to a report of a prowler and potential burglary, according to an announcement shared by the Petaluma Police Department.
In their efforts to locate and apprehend the individual, the officers quickly set up a perimeter. They went through the process of making announcements and were followed by conducting a security sweep of the premises. It was during this search that it was confirmed that the suspect had not remained inside the residence; meanwhile, a shattered kitchen window stood as a silent testament to the intrusion.
The ongoing investigation has since unearthed surveillance footage from the neighborhood, which shows a white male adult, clad in a dark sweater or jacket and blue jeans, attempting to gain entry into the property through a wooden fence before leaving the vicinity in a dark-colored truck, traveling southbound, and evading capture before the arrival of law enforcement officials.
