The Philadelphia Police Department has issued a public appeal for assistance in the case of missing person Channie Furr, a 45-year-old resident of the city’s 39th District. Furr has been missing since last Wednesday, last seen at her home on the 200 block of West Seymour Street early in the morning, around 7:00 a.m. A detail about Furr, is that she has a distinctive tattoo - her own name, "Channie" inked on her left arm.
Described as a Black female, standing 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighing about 145 pounds, Furr also has brown eyes. On the day of her disappearance, she was wearing a burgundy jacket, black pants, and a blue and white head scarf. According to the Philadelphia Police Department, Furr is known to frequent the area around the 4800 block of Wayne Ave.
The investigation is being spearheaded by the Northwest Detective Division. In an effort to locate Furr, police are urging anyone with information about her whereabouts to step forward. Philadelphia PD has provided the contact number for the Northwest Detective Division at 215-686-3353 for tips, and encourages those who might spot Furr to dial 911 without delay.
