An unusual vehicular accident left a pickup truck vertically against an apartment building in Robinson Township. The crash occurred in the 100 block of Chestnut Ridge Drive. Reporting from the scene first, WPXI captured footage of the truck with its rear end elevated, resting against the structure in a precarious stance reminiscent of movie stunts.
Authorities at the scene suspect the truck may have left the roadway from a nearby hillside. This incident comes alongside early morning reports after 4 a.m., where a vehicle flipped and ended up on its side against a home on the same drive. A neighbor relayed to WTAE that the apartment hit by the truck was, fortunately, vacant at the time of the incident.
The Moon Run Volunteer Fire Company provided a closer look at the aftermath, posting photos of the damage to social media. One individual sustained minor injuries in the odd collision and was subsequently transported to a local hospital. The nature and extent of these injuries have not been disclosed at this time.
