Voters in the Tacoma, Franklin Pierce, and White River school districts received a misprinted voter pamphlet insert, which duplicated Proposition 1 and omitted key information for Proposition 2. A corrected version will start arriving in mailboxes on Tuesday, and the accurate insert is also available online at PierceCountyWA.gov/Elections and VoteWA.gov, according to the Pierce County.
Ballots themselves were not affected by the error. "We sincerely apologize for the confusion and we appreciate your understanding," the county stated, reassuring voters about the situation, as reported by the Pierce County.
The upcoming election on February 10 will decide several propositions. Voters should refer to the corrected pamphlet online and note the ballot submission deadlines: "Ballots must be postmarked by Election Day (USPS recommends mailing a week in advance) or deposited in a County drop box by 8 p.m. on Election Day." Drop box locations and additional election information are available on the county’s election website, as stated by the Pierce County.
