
A Pittsburgh neighborhood was shaken by a grisly discovery when a man was found dead, suffering from "significant trauma to his head and face" inside a Bloomfield home last night. According to WTAE, police responded to the 200 block of S. Aiken Avenue around 8:25 p.m. after receiving reports of an unresponsive male who was bleeding from the head.
The victim was found on the first floor of the residence and declared deceased once medics arrived. He was later identified as Timothy Moran, 62, of Pittsburgh by the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office, WPXI reported. There were no other victims or suspects found when officers swept the house, and as of the report, the police had not taken anyone into custody.
An investigation into the disturbing incident is currently underway, with police gathering evidence to piece together the events that led to the tragic outcome. Details regarding the cause of death were not immediately available following the initial examination of the scene.
