Disturbing details have emerged as the Pittsburgh Police initiate an investigation into an act of vandalism at a local auto body shop. Owned by a noted community activist, the establishment, located on the 7600 block of Finance Street in the Homewood South neighborhood, was targeted with offensive graffiti. WPXI reported that police were alerted to the incident on Wednesday after the owner discovered a racial slur defacing the building in black spray-paint.
The perpetrator, next to the slur, left behind a cryptic message, "JUX WAS HURE, BBT D4C," rendered with the same black spray-paint. The auto body shop owner, William Anderson, according to a WPXI interview, mentioned his last visit to the premises was on Monday, revealing a two-day gap before the vandalism was discovered on the building.
Further adding to the distressing situation, additional non-legible symbols and words were spray-painted onto the door of the shop. As the police delve into the offense, they are asking for the public's assistance. Anyone with pertinent information is encouraged to reach out to Zone 5 plainclothes detectives at (412) 665-3605, as noted by WTAE.
