The Placer County Sheriff’s Office arrested two young men suspected of a series of vehicle break-ins in North Auburn. The thefts, reported in late December 2025 near New Airport Road, involved items such as electronics, cash, and purses taken from unlocked vehicles, as reported by the Placer County Sheriff’s Office.
Alexander Veimau-Wynn, 20, from Auburn, was arrested last Wednesday after investigators reviewed surveillance footage and spoke with victims. He faces charges including grand theft and possession of stolen property, as stated by the Placer County Sheriff’s Office.
According to the Placer County Sheriff’s Office on their Facebook page, 19-year-old Donell Fort of Rocklin was arrested after the arrest of his suspected partner, Veimau-Wynn. Fort was taken from his home without incident and is charged with grand theft, conspiracy, petty theft, and possession of a controlled substance. Evidence linked him to multiple vehicle thefts, helping close at least five cases. The Sheriff’s Office noted the help of residents, saying, "your information made a difference," and reminded vehicle owners to lock doors and remove valuables.
